Tomato Sauce Base for just about anything

Here is what you will need:-

3 Cloves of Garlic

1 Onion

1 Bunch fresh basil

1 sprig of thyme and rosemary

3 tins of tomato

Salt and Pepper

3-4 tbsp of Olive Oil

Here is what you will need to do: –

Large non stick pan/pot, on the heat. Add drizzle of Olive oil.
Add the diced onion, chopped garlic, rosemary and thyme.
Saute off for 5 mins.
Add in tinned tomatoes and let cook for further 5 mins slowly.
Shred the basil, add it in, season well and take out the rosemary and thyme.
You can leave it as a chunky sauce or use a hand blender to make a smooth sauce. If you like you can add some chillies to give it a fiery kick.
Simply use instead of jars of sauce…Lasagne, Spag Bol, Chillies, soups, and pizza .

Freezes great too.

Pop into Zip lock bags and pop in freezer.
